The firm of La Campofilone produces for export four lovely flavored pastas. Again, these are produced only with their selection of durum wheat semolina and fresh pasturized eggs. The boxes hold 8.8 oz and will serve four people. Each box has an excellent and easy to prepare recipe using the pasta you have chosen. Squid Ink Linguine is one of Nancy's favorites. It is made with real squid ink and has a light briney flavor. A dramatic backdrop for any seafood sauce. Spinach Fettuccine is made with dehydrated spinach, not powder. One of our favorites with this is a sauce made with some cream, butter, parmesan and crushed pink peppercorns. Fettuccine with Sage is made the same way as the Spinach Fettuccine. It only needs a simple sauce of butter and pine nuts, or just a lovely olive oil and paired with grilled meats or poultry. Fettuccine with chili pepper has a pleasant bite and color. The recipe on the back of the box with olives and capers is terrific!
