BANNETON 8" ROUND 1 LB

There are certain breads (usually made with grains other than just wheat) which require support while rising. Bannetons provide this support and allow the yeasts to raise the dough vertically instead of spreading out over the sheet. These can be lined with cloth first or simply floured. The circles of the bannetons, when dusted with flour, leave a series of marks on the baked breads.We carry 3 sizes of round bannetons: an 8 inch round will hold 1lb of dough, a 10 inch round will hold 2lb of dough and the 11.5 inch round will hold 3-4lb of dough.
