What happens when we ship
We use the euphemistic delivery predictions of the shipping service used for your address. If "they" do not deliver, we will try and get an appropriate refund, unfortunately, weather, human error, and life's uncertainties sometimes fly in the face of these predictions. We will always work with you to resolve any issues that may arise.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express on all orders.
We ship most orders in stock within three business days. We will notify you if any items are not in stock. You will have the option of waiting until the order is complete before shipping or shipping what is in stock and being notified when your backorder is in.
We can cancel your order including shipping if it has not been packed or picked up by UPS or mail carrier. Orders that are cancelled after being packed will be credited for the merchandise only.
Delivery in the continental US is by UPS Ground or USPS. UPS does not ship to Post Office Boxes. We will ship to APO and FPO addresses, but contact us by email or fax for a quote.
Packages to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other US territories will ship through UPS whenever possible. Please add $20 to the regular shipping cost.
We very carefully pack your selections to ensure their safe arrival at your door, and UPS allows us to track the package from pickup to delivery. All packages that leave the store will be insured. Since shipping charges to all other countries are rapidly fluctuating due to rising fuel and transportation costs, we are unable to provide an accurate shipping table. All Cuisinettes and Cuisiners make an effort to recycle as many boxes and insulation material as possible from store deliveries to reuse when preparing your order for shipping.

Oops! Tomorrow is the birthday of the COOK IN YOUR LIFE. We can help if you live in the continental US. We can ship UPS 2nd Day Air for an additional $30.00.
Other ports of call
We ship worldwide, but oceans and borders make it a bit more complicated. So ignore the shipping table that we have slaved over, and contact us by email or fax. The shipping rate will be determined by weight and destination and value plus a $15 handling fee and charged to your credit card separately once your order has been processed. La Cuisine will notify you of the shipping charge and tracking number via email. We cannot be responsible for customs charges once it crosses into your country.
Surprise, surprise
This is our version of gift wrap: Items will be wrapped in our festive, but refined store tissue and put in our "signature" bag. More poofy tissue will be added along with a lovely ribbon and gift card. The best thing is that we do it free of charge. Really large items will require a little bit more imagination on our part, but we are willing.
Can't decide?
You can get our elegant gift certificates in any amount and there is no expiration date for those indecisive recipients. We will include the latest issue of "A La Carte" with each gift certificate. There is no charge for mailing gift certificates. We put on stamps out of the goodness of our hearts.
When using your gift certificate, call or order on line as usual. Your order will be charged to you and shipped. Send us your gift certificate and we will then credit the gift certificate amount back to your credit card.
What, you really did not want it after all?
We accept returned merchandise for credit if it shipped to us in salable condition within 30 days. If we have made a mistake we will rectify it at our expense.
